Alzheimer’s Association

Provides support services to people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA)

Provides educational, social, and emotional support for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, their families, and caregivers

Dementia Society of America

Provides education, local resources, and life enrichment to individuals and families impacted by Dementia

Cancer Care

American Cancer Society

Works to help people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer

A comprehensive resource for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as their caregivers and service providers

Medical Insurance


Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program that acts as a public health insurance program to provide needed healthcare services for low-income individuals


Medicare is a social insurance program administered by the United States government, providing health insurance coverage to people aged 65 and over or meeting other special criteria


American Bone Health

American Dental Association (ADA)

An organization conducting dental research and referrals to dentists from state and local ADA chapters

American Diabetes Association (ADA)

Provides information and educational materials on preventing, treating, and living with diabetes

American Heart Association (AHA)

A nonprofit organization providing information on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart diseases and stroke

American Lung Association (ALA)

PALA provides information on lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, and lung cancer

American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP)

Works to improve older people's mental health and well-being by providing information on geriatric psychiatry and referrals to local specialists

Geriatric Mental Health Foundation

The Geriatric Mental Health Foundation works to increase awareness of psychiatric and mental health disorders and access to quality mental healthcare

Internet Mental Health

Internet Mental Health provides information on the 52 most common mental disorders, plus information on medications, news, recovery stories, and other resources

National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness


Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA)

A nonprofit organization providing food to older people and those who are frail, disabled, or homebound

A nonprofit nonpartisan membership organization helping people 50 and over improve the quality of their lives

Alliance for Aging Research

The Alliance is a national citizen advocacy organization offering information on aging-related subjects such as menopause, how to age with ease, and healthcare options under Medicare

Association of Jewish Aging Services Home (AJAS)

The central coordinator for homes and in-residence facilities for Jewish elderly in North America

Substance Abuse

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA is an organization of those who share their experience, strength, and hope to help solve their problem and recover from alcoholism

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)

NCADD is a volunteer organization that provides education, information, help, and hope to the public to support the prevention, intervention, and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

NIDA's mission is to advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health


AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety is a nonprofit educational and research organization funding projects to aid older drivers
