The responsibilities of the Rehabilitation Aide include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Assists in providing direct therapy services by carrying out delegated, selected, skilled tasks under the supervision of the therapist and according to federal guidelines and state practice act.
- Assists with individual/supervised/group programs
- Provides administrative support to Rehabilitation Department as needed.
- Oversees maintenance of equipment in accordance with infection control safety guidelines.
- Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
- Will be responsible in assisting with patient care with therapist guidance.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in a health care setting preferred
- Must have experience in patient/staff scheduling/coordination
- Managing/following up on insurance verification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, administration, physicians, and staff
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations
- Ability to read, write and speak English in a clear manner
- Desire to work with geriatric people
- Ability to generate enthusiasm and cooperation from others
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to cultural diversity
