The Pharmacy Technician Lead's responsibilities are but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Assure a stock level of medication, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on premises at all times to adequately meet the needs of the residents.
• Responds readily to requests/recommendations from the hospital and pharmacists.
• Fills and delivers unit dose carts.
• Prepares medications pursuant to medication orders.
• Enters new medication orders into the computer system accurately.
• Participates in the quality management programs of the department.
• Complies with hospital and Pharmacy Services policies regarding inventory, purchasing, receiving and storing all pharmaceuticals.

Education and Experience:

• A Pharmacy Technician license.
• A minimum of six months in a pharmacy.
• High school graduate, or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge, typing skills.
• IV Laminar Flow Hood knowledge, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read, write and speak effectively.
